Auditions in LA

LA, the home of the Hollywood Stars, the home of ten thousand Thai food and burrito joints, and the home of auditions. LA may not be the first place in the entire world where auditions were held, but it certainly is the place where the phenomenon has taken on it's own persona. In LA, sometimes the auditions themselves are a show that has to be seen to be believed.

The dreams of millions have been shattered, and the dreams of several thousand have been fulfilled. In LA, auditions are where hearts are broken and careers are made in the course of a five to fifteen minute exchange between talent and production company, actor and casting director, dancer and choreographer.

Some of us overestimate our talents and don't prepare ourselves for rejection. Others underestimate their abilities and don't prepare themselves for success. Thus are aspirations of glory and delusions of grandeur sorted out in the jungles of LA auditions. Which one are you?
